Study rooms

In the library building you will find work areas and study rooms for use. Whether just during a lecture break or on the weekend, whether you would like to learn in a group or individually, the ZHB offers a number of options.

On the first and second floors there are individual workplaces with electricity connections.

We also have 21 learning cabins that can be booked freely using the Affluences booking system, at weekends they can be booked all day. It is also avaible as an app for Android and Apple. Returns are possible until the end of the opening hours.
To use these cubicles you must be logged in to the library.

There are also a total of 5 group work rooms available on the two upper floors.

For smaller groups, there are group workstations for four people on the second floor.

The “Parcham Lounge” on the 1st floor offers a protected relaxation area, for example during work breaks, or the student lounge in the entrance area with a coffee and snack machine.

Lockers are available in the Parcham Lounge area on the first floor and on the second floor opposite the stairs. You can borrow a locker key for one month at a time from the information desk on the ground floor. This period of use can be extended twice via your lending account.

The PC pool room on the ground floor has 31 computers for students of the University and 5 computers for students of the TH. There is also a printer (black white) availabel for students of the University.

Some tips for use:

There are work tables on the ground floor and the two upper floors where people can learn. Since the building as a whole is very noisy, we ask you to be as quiet as possible in the group areas.

Especially during exam times, all work tables are often occupied quickly. Therefore, no tables should be occupied with work materials, baskets, etc. during a longer absence. A break of up to 30 minutes is of course possible; during lunchtime from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. the break can also last up to 60 minutes. A provisional “break note” can be left at the workplace. The library staff can check the absence times for control purposes.

Please always keep an eye on your valuables and do not leave them unattended at the table!
